Happy New Year from all of us at Almost Home Boarding and Training!
As we welcome 2026, everyone at Almost Home Boarding and Training wishes our wonderful clients—and their dogs, cats, and exotic companions—a happy, healthy year ahead. We’re incredibly grateful for your trust and support, and we’re excited to share that the coming year brings some fresh developments and enhancements around the kennels that we can’t wait to unveil. Here’s to a year filled with wagging tails, gentle purrs, curious critters, and more adventures together!
…and a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who donated towards our Christmas Drive!

A very special THNAK YOU to all who donated towards the
MONROE COUNTY – KENTUCKY – HUMANE SOCIETY. On behalf of Gary and Julie Bowman, they would love to thank the staff and clients of AHB7T for the overwhelming amount of donations. These donations will have a huge impact on the neglected and homeless animals this year.

Boarding at AHB&T
While a phone call to make a reservation is always welcome, please know sending an email with requested dates is also an easy way to make a reservation and if dates are available, we will make your reservation and respond with an email confirmation.

For the best experience for your fur baby, please note the following: Bring your pets’ food; any medications that they are taking and their favorite treats or toys. You do not have to bring bowls. We have plenty! All shapes, varieties (plastic, ceramic, metal) and sizes. We encourage you to bring a couple of extra days of food and medications in case something happens and you don’t return on the day you had planned This is especially true for traveling circumstances such as flight cancellations, delays, emergencies and traffic. All your belongings are kept separate with your information and a list of what you bring. ALL food and meds that were not used, will be returned when you pick up your fur baby.

Almost Home Boarding and Training is proud to have Certified Fear Free professionals on staff.
Fear Free Boarding and Daycare Individual Certification Program ensures that our staff are thoughtful in every interaction with boarding and daycare pets—from greetings to kennel introductions to overexuberance or shyness.

Fear Free courses are reviewed by IBPSA (International Boarding & Pet Services Association) and PACCC (Professional Animal Care Certification Council).

VACCINE REMINDERS We try very hard to inform you of upcoming expiring vaccinations necessary for services at Almost Home but please check with your veterinarian and send us scanned updated vaccinations to make things go smoother.  We have noticed that some vet clinics are not sending out vaccination reminders and then there is a lapse.

After a vet visit, please ask that your vet fax or email your pet’s vaccine records over to us as soon as possible. This makes it easier for us to keep track of updated vaccinations. Dogs need Bordetella, Distemper-parvo and RabiesCats need FVRCP and Rabies Feline. You or your vet can email vaccinations to: contact@almosthomeboardingandtraining.comOr fax them to 502-384-8487
