Dog Training Shouldn’t Hurt or Scare your Dog.

It does not take strength, force, or dominance to train your dog.

What it does take, is understanding how a dog learns. Education of the owner on modern positive training techniques. And patience, knowing there are no instant fixes and no guarantees. The human owner hast to be willing to learn as much earn more than what they will be teaching their dog,

You are training your dog every moment you spend with them. Learn how to make all those moments work toward training the outcome you want, and how to make all those moments count without pain (shock, choke or prong collar) or fear (throwing things and yelling at your dog), or dominance to get the outcome you want.

Our Training Philosophy:

To provide the best quality and humane dog care and training in all phases while giving our owners knowledgeable advice and positive reinforcement instruction on living a safe and happy lifetime with their dog.  We promise a quality service at a fair price delivered with kindness, dignity and respect that will further the development of positive relationships between owners and their companion dogs.

  • We offer private lessons and small group classes, with an emphasis on teaching you how to train your dogs and how dogs learn.
  • We strive to teach you how to get and maintain your dog’s attention in our 2,500 sq. ft., climate controlled, indoor training room complete with recycled rubber floor.
  • We believe that dog training should be fun!  Therefore, we support positive re-enforcement training techniques for your dog  and NOT yelling or throwing objects at your dogs; or using shock-, prong-, or choke-collars.

Some may say they guarantee results, but here at Almost Home, we believe that there are no guarantees in dog training. Instead, we promise to do our best to give you, the pet owner, the tools and knowledge to communicate and teach your dog.
